Suzanne Eisendieck – Laundry Maid
Recently Sold, Suzanne Eisendieck

Oil on canvas. Perfect condition. Woman doing laundry duty – ironing. Signed “Suzanne Eisendieck” lower left. Delightful misspelling in her signature.  It looks like she added an extra “S”. Eisendieck was married to Dietz Edzard and they painted the same subjects very often. Their styles are similar but faces were always painted in a different style. Frame is modern with motley, gold patina on wood.  Linen matt with inner painted wood, bevelled filet giving the painting relief and some depth from the frame. Frame size 31″ H x 23″ W. Canvas size 24″ H x 15.75″ W. Excellent condition.
